"I didnt wanna be told I cant use the name"

Listen to this interview by Yosef Chaim (Shwekey) on the great "The Show" here http://listentotheshow.com/blog/?p=163.

I love the way he addresses the "Name" issue squarely and kudos to Yossi and YoDo for asking the question! (The only problem I have with YC is that he says "You Know" way way way way too much)

Dont you just LOVE Donald Trump??

From a recent interview:

How is the real estate business doing?

My real estate is doing great. Because most of my jobs were finished prior to the depression, as I affectionately call it.

What about that new Trump Tower in Chicago, where condominiums are reportedly going unsold?

Chicago is working out. In the end, Chicago is going to be a fine transaction for everybody. We sold over $500 million worth of units. Those units are closing out.

Can you acknowledge any problems in real estate, or is it just too against your nature?

It’s always against my nature to acknowledge problems unless the problems really exist.

If you pay attention to my pics, Red is my favorite color. I don't remember where I took this one, but I love it. The unusual square layout of the bricks, the reds, the whites - which accentuates the colors, the greens - Yummy! JoeFlix

A few exciting items in Jewish Music

I haven't been too active here lately, I've simply been extremely busy with life and I just couldn't. But here are three things I have to mention, because I just can't hold back.

The so-so event.

I'm a huge Lipa fan - but- This concert did not live up to my high expectations. Lipa was in a cage. His whole act, it seems, was done more with his critics in mind, than us. No I would never pay $50 for two hours of YBC, a half hour documentary to the life of R' Eli Titelbaum Zt''l and about forty minutes of diluted Lipa - he is much better at any little wedding. The three enjoyable acts of the evening were MBD, Dedi and Shloimie Gertner - (he really made us all 'shmeichel').

If you think for a second that I have anything against Lipa - God forbid - please check out the great JMR for a very honest and to-the-point review of the show

Big list of links to photos and videos, on the great Rubin.

Eitan Katz - New Album

I'm a big fan of Eitan's. I think his UnPlugged album and his L'Maancha are spectacular. I love the cleanliness, and the live feel. I love the title track from the sampler - hear here - and I'm going to buy this one

(BTW the great cover art for this album, and Kol Noar was done by my friend Sruly of Sameach Music check out his blog here and click the links to see his portfolio)

Kol Noar

Mo Kiss's boys choir is finally out! The sampler sounds so cool - "How are you, How are you feeling" so sugar sweet!

Mo also had a very, very intelligent discussion with The Cool Jew - link- about the album. Mo seems to be a true visionary. He is very straightforward and unapologetic and confident - and still SOOO polite - as to where he is going with this. (I saved the QuickTime file of this interview - something I never do. That's how interesting I found it)

I'm most excited the fact that he brings a new Dance track ('how are you')to the table, I mean the last good one was Lipa's "Hut Bitochen". The Dance remixes coming out of Israel are so empty and boring and fast food that I'm really just craving for a good one!

I'm getting this CD too. I don't promise any reviews. But maybe.
